We went around camp and asked kids what they love most about being at Redwood Christian Park (RCP). Kids shared many answers, so we put together 10 of their favorite things about camp!

1. Swimming

After surveying many kids at camp, we have come to the conclusion that the swimming pool is a fan favorite. From doing backflips and belly flops to just swimming with friends, there are so many memories to be made at the pool.

One student added, “The lifeguards are amazing people,” which we could not agree with more!

2. Craft Shack

The Craft Shack is another favorite spot at camp, giving campers plenty of opportunities to get creative and make something special to take home.

Whether they are painting rocks or using Mod Podge and dried flowers to create something unique, there is always something new to make at the Craft Shack.

3. The Food

“The food is also very amazing here,” shared one kid.

A big shoutout to our chefs at camp for making the amazing food people can’t stop talking about! We are grateful for a kitchen staff that works hard to prepare delicious meals for our campers and guests. If you have dietary needs, our team is also happy to work with you to provide options that fit your needs.

4. Gaga Ball

If you haven’t played Gaga Ball, you are missing out! This fast-paced game takes place inside an octagon-shaped pit where everyone tries to avoid getting hit by the ball as it gets hit around. Every year, people gather around the Gaga Ball pit to watch these intense games play out.

5. Rock Wall

We are not surprised the rock wall made the top 10 list either! Campers can test their climbing skills and see if they can make it all the way to the top.

6. Ice Cream (With Gummy Worms Specifically)

Who doesn’t love ice cream? And according to our campers, adding gummy worms makes it even better!

Several kids mentioned getting ice cream from the Snack Shack as a highlight of their camp experience. With plenty of flavors and toppings to choose from, there is something for everyone. If you ask our campers, though, you may want to add the gummy worms.

7. Pickleball

Pickleball was another activity kids repeatedly mentioned was their favorite. During Family Camp, we even host a pickleball championship where teams compete for the title.

Whether you are playing competitively or simply enjoying a game with friends, pickleball is a fun way to spend time around camp.

8. Archery

Archery was another activity that came up several times when we asked campers about their favorite things to do at RCP.

Campers can practice their aim at our archery targets or join a game of archery tag. Whether you are experienced or have never picked up a bow before, there is an opportunity to give it a try.

9. Worshipping God

“My favorite thing to do at RCP is worship God,” one student shared.

We love that RCP provides a place where kids can worship God, grow in their faith and experience those moments alongside their friends.

10. Friends

It’s no surprise that friends were another common answer when we asked campers about their favorite part of camp.

One student said, “My favorite part is being here with all my friends.”

Camp is a place where you can spend time with friends, make new ones and create memories together. Another camper shared, “My favorite thing about Redwood Christian Park is all the friends that you can make here.”

Whether you arrive with a group of friends or come ready to meet someone new, there are plenty of opportunities to build friendships that can last long after camp is over.

Come Experience Camp For Yourself!

From swimming and pickleball to worship and time with friends, there is something for everyone at RCP. We would love to welcome you and your family to camp and give you the opportunity to experience it for yourself.
