A Peaceful Christian Women’s Retreat Focused on God’s Grace

“As soon as you drive onto campus, there is peace” shares Barbra, who has been attending women’s retreat for 20 years.

Before the first session even began, many women felt the peace of God. The noise of everyday life started to quiet, hearts began to settle, and the weekend became an opportunity to simply breathe and be present with God.

This year’s Women’s Retreat centered around the theme of God’s Amazing Grace as women gathered together to study Ephesians. Women from different churches, different towns, and different stages of life all came together with one shared desire: to grow closer to Jesus and connect with one another.

Women from Different Churches and Stages of Life Came Together

This year, more than double the number of women attended compared to last year. It was a beautiful reminder of God’s faithfulness and the growing desire for a genuine Christian community.

Throughout the weekend, laughter filled the rooms between sessions and conversations continued long after the teaching ended. Some women arrived knowing no one, while others returned to reunite with friendships formed years ago.

Inse first started coming to RCP in high school, and now she and her husband bring their family each year. Having attended the Women’s Retreat for 45 years, she shares, “Seeing the women who return each year feels like greeting old friends.”

One of the most special parts of the retreat is watching relationships grow. What begins as a shared weekend often turns into friendships that continue long after the mountain has been left behind.

A Weekend Away to Rest, Recharge, and Grow Spiritually

For many women, the retreat also provided something that can be difficult to find in everyday life: rest.

Women’s retreat is “A chance to get away and disconnect from the hustle and bustle of life.”  said Amanda.

Between busy schedules, responsibilities, work, and caring for others, life can often leave little room to slow down. This retreat created space for women to step away from distractions, focus on God’s presence, and be encouraged by the women around them.

Experiencing God’s Presence Through Worship and Community

And throughout the entire weekend, there was a deep sense that God was at work.

“RCP is holy ground… as soon as you drive onto campus, you feel the Lord’s presence” shares Inse.

From worship led by Linzy Westman and teaching from Sara Bentley to quiet conversations and moments of prayer, God moved in countless ways throughout the retreat. Women from many different backgrounds gathered together united by a passion to serve Jesus and grow in their faith.
